Golden Globes

At yesterdays golden globes we saw two main trends on the red carpet, the amount of greens from forest to emmerald wore by the likes of Elizabeth Moss, Mila Kunis and Anglina Jolie, and tones of pale pink and peach mixed with deep reds to give an almost 'valentines day style' rocked by Natalie Portman, Claire Danes and Christina Hendricks to name a few. Strangely enough none of my favorites from the awards really fit into those categorys, my favorites are Jayma Mays in Alberta Ferretti who looks so elegant, the hair, the jewlery, the make-up, the dress everything just works. Im not normally a fan of the whole "child star" shit (sorry tavi) but Hailee Steinfeld looks amazing in this gown and i think its because the make-up an hair are minimal which makes it look like shes not trying to hard which you dont normally see with child celebs. When i saw January Jones in this versace fringe dress i was just like damn!!!, Its very hard to get that mix between elegance and sex just right without making it slutty and shes got it just right the classic hair with minimal jewlery gives it an elegant edge the 'Mad Men' star is without a doubt my favorite from the awards.
And for the worst dressed on the red carpet, Jennifer Love Hewitt just looks awfull here, the dress does nothing for her body, the fabric is horrible and the style is very dated and like a bad 70's ball gown, Then theres justin beiber, sneakers with a horrible tuxedo really justin, really? ok if your at the vma's or something but your not your just a tit and finally there's the worst Lea Michele who normally does quite good on the red carpet but here the dress is to messy, the colour is horrible on her and thats toped of with equally messy hair.
Most of the men at the awards did quite good by keeping it simple and showing the elegance of mens fashion but my two favorites are Alex Pettyfer who just looks really cool in this plain patent black suit and the glee actor Matthew Morrison who looks amazing in this Dolce and Gabbana tuxedo and is ded on trend pairing it with velvet tuxedo shoes (which ive also been rocking recently)
Ive gotta give Olivia Wilde prop's because she looks amazing in this Marchesa gown with full tule skirt (she would have been in my best dressed but! i think her hair looks crap and i couldent let it slide) but what was even better was that even though we couldent see them she was wearing an amazing pair of Christian Louboutin's underneath her dress now thats what i call dedication.
